O my god, this was one of the worst day of my life. I went to see a girl with my mom that to in a temple !. The girl was accompanied by her parents ( Both of them !) her grand mother, her brother and her brother's wife !!!!! what were all of them doing there ? well i had gone there with my mom only !!! all of them started speaking to each other except me and the girl ! of all the people who need to speak we were silent and everyone else was speaking. This was so irritating and embarrassing. Never in my life was i put in such a awkward situation.

I hope there is a better way of finding a Lifemate!

High Hope ??????

It was one of the best 4 days i have spent. i spent it with greenery around me with a book around me and believe it or not with a cell phone. imagine 4 days without cell phone no one to call you and disturb you. no one to call you. it was a pleasant long weekend at a place in kerala called waynad. surrounded with hills greenery . i saw how coffee is plucked and the the process of how it is prepared. the coffee flowers have a very distinct smell. the book which i had was Shantaram one of the best book i have read in a long long time may be after god father.

I also visited a earth dam. earth dam is a dam made up of only mud without use of cement.This is the second largest earth dam in Asia.It has a magnificent view with two hills on each side.

alas these four days came to an end very fast and i was in Bangalore back to same old mobile connected world !!!!

whats happening to our media i don't now. we are making small issue such as shilpa shetty's big boss stint or ash bach marriage headlines. do't we v have anything else 2 cover. when i reached home that day i see every news channel carrying the same news. have v become so insensitive to issues that even news channels have become a bollywood centric. don't v have anything else to talk & show ?

A Media sales guys Dairy

sales job - tht looks very nice from outside have been in sales for more than six years now and still when I look back the amount of people I have me and also the kind of responses I get every day, it is a new experience for me. Every individual is different from each other. The key fact is always the mood of the person when you meet him . If he is in a good mood u definitely got the deal otherwise god help you. I have seen tht we can build instant rappot with some of these guys and some time newer. Again so many things like your work environment etc determines how you r in sale that day. But at the end of the day when you look back you know that you have learnt so many things you definitely need to have a good boss who can guide you when u r low and appreciate you when you have done something good, otherwise as a sales guy u will never get motivated. The extra punch you need for sales comes from these two important things.

I have been in the media sales from past 6 years I have worked in newspaper for 3 years then magazines and now radio each medium has his own strengths & weaknesses. But the key thing tht will help u do well in all these places is the appreciation for the work done. Things change every day u need to change every day.

Newspaper selling is the easiest as it is one of the oldest medium then comes magazine followed by radio. Let me see where my next stop will be..........

Well everyone has a first job even I went through it, I had come to bangalore for the 3rd time had come before when I was a kid and for a project in mba. Just landed up in one of my friends place and started job hunting through net started posting CV's & also went to public library to scan through the appointment pages of deccan herald and times, I got a call- of course no cell phone at that time could not afford one, frm a consultant abt a opening she told me I have been selected 4 a interview and I need register 4 the same by paying 500 bucks to her. I had no choice but to refuse imagine 100's of consultant if I start registering with each one I would b finding myself in streets within a day or two !! So I decided to hunt it only through net and appointment pages.

One day I got a call frm a lady Jennifer tht they have opening and I need 2 meet up with them. I went to there office the rick guy showed me whole of bangalore before I reached there office, they told me I have been short listed and I met my would b boss, had a good interview he told me I was selected- Atlast some hope,i asked him wht was my sal. He told me tht they don't wrk on tht basis and its on commission basis but the earnings would b at least 500 per day sounded fishy but had no choice. My ego was certainly hurt- had done MBA with big dreams and fat sal. My boss told me that I will b taken by one of my colleague to training frm t'row, I thought I will give it a try
I came down the next day two of the guys took me along with them, v started going to each office/shops etc to my shock most of them just shoed us out of there office was never able to understand any way wht product these guys were selling it was some kind of Timeshare offer coupons etc.
I never went back again after my first day- There went my first job, experience certificate-1 day

Lesson : Everyone has to go through the ups and downs of job hunting- MBA or No MBA.It brought me back to earth and the dreams of geting a fal sal vanished,i understood that only hardwork can get u there.
